Prairie Adventuring

I don't know if you've ever had one of those weekend days where you are eager to just get outside because the weather is so perfect, you're in a great mood and you just want to go somewhere, but you just don't know where! So you head out and just drive, with no set destination.

Maybe it's just me, but I've got to say, it's one of my favorite things to do! Because every time I have one of those days, and go for one of those drives it always ends up being some kind of fun adventure.

I am truly lucky that my boys put up with my craziness, and are willing to adventure with me.

As they did this day.

We set out East of Calgary, into the beautiful prairies. Do you know how amazing they look on a sunny fall day? That golden glow under the blue skies? Ah, just perfect.

We weren't sure where to go, then Sam saw a dirt road and said, "mom, go left!"

"Good pick baby!! " I said with a huge smile, as just down the road there was an old, run down, abandoned prairie home. PERFECT! I love stuff like that. Makes for some fun pictures, that's for sure.

Well at least I happen to think so.
